Miha Biotech is seeking a high-purity, medical-grade natural oil suitable for use in advanced wound-care and skin-healing applications. The oil must be cleanly processed, fully traceable, and produced under strict quality-control standards to ensure safety and consistency for medical or therapeutic use. Miha Biotech intends to evaluate small sample quantities for research and formulation testing, with the potential for longer-term sourcing partnerships as development progresses.

Context

Miha Biotech is developing next-generation biomaterials that combine natural bioactive ingredients with advanced medical formulations. Copaiba oil has shown strong potential in therapeutic and skin-healing contexts due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. However, most commercially available copaiba oil is produced for cosmetic or aromatherapy use and does not meet the purity, contaminant-removal, and quality-control standards required for regulated medical applications. Miha Biotech is therefore seeking high-grade, purified copaiba oil produced through controlled, transparent processes that minimize environmental impact and ensure sustainable sourcing from traceable resin suppliers. 

Response Criteria

In Scope:

·         Purified copaiba oil (>90% purity) suitable for medical, wound-care, or skin-healing research.

·         Suppliers capable of providing R&D-scale sample volumes with consistent batch quality.

·         Documented quality-control and analytical testing (e.g., GC/MS, contaminant screening).

·         Processes that remove proteins, particulates, and allergens.

·         Sustainable and ethical sourcing practices, including traceability and reduced environmental footprint.

·         Transparency regarding processing methods, solvent use, and certification (e.g., organic, fair trade, or equivalent).

Out of Scope:

·         Raw or unpurified copaiba oil intended for fragrance or general cosmetic use.

·         Oils lacking verifiable purity data or sourcing documentation.

·         Suppliers unable to demonstrate consistent quality control or ethical sourcing practices.

The Opportunity

Miha Biotech will collaborate directly with selected suppliers during early-stage formulation testing and quality validation. If purity, sustainability, and material performance are confirmed, suppliers may be considered for ongoing commercial partnerships as Miha Biotech advances its medical-grade product line toward clinical and market applications.
